Rebecca is a family law attorney at Friedman Law Firm, P.C. Rebecca graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she earned a Certificate of Concentration in Family Law and participated in the Jeanette Lipman Family Law Clinic as a student advocate and teaching assistant. Her work with the clinic and family law studies resulted in her receiving The Family Law Award from the Virginia State Bar and American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers at graduation.
Rebecca also has background experience in criminal law and trial advocacy. She served as a Law Clerk for a criminal defense attorney in the City of Richmond and worked with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for the City of Colonial Heights as an Intern. Rebecca also served as captain of her undergraduate mock trial team at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for her work with the Trial Advocacy Board at Richmond Law School. She has competed in trial tournaments at both the regional and national level, with great success. Some of her accomplishments have included: receiving two “Best Attorney” awards; competing in the ABA National Criminal Justice Trial Competition; and placing as a Regional Semi-Finalist in the ABA Labor & Employment Law Competition two years in a row.
Rebecca enjoys getting to know clients, and their families, and working to achieve the best desired outcome for their case. She understands matters of divorce, custody, visitation, child support, and spousal support. Rebecca also welcomes the opportunity to help clients with other legal matters which frequently arise in conjunction with family law, such as criminal law, wills, trusts and estates, and guardianship proceedings.
