From a young age, Rick Friedman pursued music alongside his brother, opening for major acts in high school and later moving to Los Angeles to pursue entertainment law and songwriting.

He and his brother composed music for MTV shows (including The Real World), film soundtracks (Exit Wounds), and created the award-winning theme song for MTV's Punk’d.

After practicing entertainment law, Friedman shifted to family law. He realized that court trials share striking similarities with songwriting—specifically, the need for a memorable "chorus" or central story that resonates with a judge or jury.

"Trial is a lot like songwriting: You’ve got to have a chorus, and you have to repeat it over and over so it sticks into the judge or jury’s mind."

Today, he leads his own firm, finding deep purpose in guiding clients through family law matters where his work directly impacts individual lives.
